My Freshman Year: I felt these chapters were getting into more depth about what college is about, and what welcome week really benefits for students. Like I said before "Welcome week" is giving students a formal introduction to college life but really once everything begins to fall into place, it isn't really like that. I do agree that if the university doesn't offer something you like that you can start it yourself, many professors are very supportive of students wanting to start new projects and are usually more then willing to help. I do not agree with the article when it talks about the involvement that the RA'S have with the students because from my personal experience my Ca's didn't really have much involvement in anything that I was doing. I also enjoyed how they talked about diversity and the examples they gave about how diversity is usually grouped with community. Of course, as a Greek I am going to talk about the issue this chapter has with Greek Life on college campuses in the chapter it states that "rushing" a sorority "you become completely lost" and you pay for friends and only feel restricted to one group of friends. I am just going to say that I completely disagree with these statements. I do not believe that you become completely lost when you join a sorority because I have not become lost in any which way. If anything it has done nothing but great things for me and made me feel more involved with the campus. I do not pay for friends, I pay dues and became part of a sisterhood which is something I will be apart of for the rest of my life, so I think it is a great thing to be apart of in college because not only do you make lifetime friends, you give back by doing community service, and have so many great memories that will last you forever. I recommend it to everyone as a great way to get involved on campus.

My Mind at Work Intro: I enjoyed how this introduction really made me think in a different preceptive, such as analyzing judgments and intelligence. I do very much so believe that both our intelligence and judgements are shown throughout the work that we do. I believe in this statement because the amount of work we put into anything whether it be school work or our actual part time jobs if you are not putting all of your efforts into your own it is going to show in the end. Each job, and each classroom has good students who try to the best of their ability and students that have to work a little harder because school isn't the first thing on their mind. That's fine and I respect that, I am just saying that what you put into your work is most defiantly shown in the final product of your work, and I couldn't agree more with what this introduction says about this statement. Some of the reading was dragged on, but for the most part it was informative and interesting to critically think while reading this introduction.
